Posted by Jimmy Hovey on Tue, Oct 09, 2012 @ 07:00 AM

Infographics have been gaining popularity at a rapid speed! These graphic visual representations of complicated topics summarize and convey important points to tell a cohesive story through images.  I’ve combed through many infographics over the past several weeks and have located the best 5 inbound marketing infographics.

1. Inbound Marketing vs. Outbound Marketing

This clever infographic was created by CMS Wire to show the vast difference between an inbound marketer and an outbound marketer.   The bright colors and fun images quickly draws the attention of any browser.  Additionally, it provides extremely useful information around  the decline of outbound marketing, the rise of inbound marketing and why the latter is more beneficial.

2. The Marketer’s Simple Guide to Creating Infographics

Blogger Anum Hussain posted this next infographic on HubSpot’s Inbound Internet Marketing blog.  Hussain’s infographic teaches marketers how to build their very own infographic using PowerPoint.  If you’re as excited about infographics as I am this one should be at the top of your favorites list because it empowers you to build your own.

3. New Data Reveals How Marketers Use Social Media

Another HubSpot Inbound Internet Marketing infographic! This time the infographic is dedicated to giving a closer look at how marketers are using social media.  More specifically, the infographic uses results from the 2012 annual SEOmoz industry survey to demonstrate how marketers are truly using social media.

4. The Must-Have Components of a Modern Sales & Marketing Machine

This infographic is a bit unique because it runs horizontally rather than vertical. In addition to looking different the inforgraphic contains a wealth of valuable information. This visual diagram walks readers through how to master the four key steps of modern sales and social marketing; attract more leads, create social profiles, benefit from social collaboration and drive social ROI.

One of the things I do is.....

...help small business owners like you who are frustrated that they have spent a lot of money in making improvements to their website and they are still not seeing leads come in as they expected.  Typically they have either hired a SEO consultant or put some money into Google Adwords to increase their rankings in search engines.  Now they either still fail to show up in the results or they are ranking for some keywords but not seeing any increase in leads.

"You pointed out things I had not thought about and gave me simple, practical and effective recommendations in a way that I could easily understand.

Through your examples from personal experience in your own businesses you were able to communicate similar challenges you faced and what you did to address them and improve the business.

I’ve now got 2 pages of notes and ideas based on our conversation. You really got my brain working and the ideas flowing."
