Contractor Leads Are Hard To Come By....You Have A Lead...Now What?

Here Is How To Build Trust Through Connectivity in the First 30 Days.....

Lead Nurturing Email #1-Instant Thank YouLead-nurturing-the-first-30-days

When my prospect responds to a call to action and fills out the form, I have my software set to immediately send them a thank you.

If the offer involves a download, then I also let them know they need to watch their e-mail because the link will be there very soon.

With automated settings, the email is actually in their email inbox before they get done reading the thank you e-mail.

Lead Nurturing Email#2-Send Immediately After The Thank You

This is the next step in communicating with your prospect. This would typically be the step if you're offering something such as a white paper or any downloadable item. In this e-mail you simply want to thank them again for responding to your offer.

Be sure to deliver the downloadable item. Test the link yourself to make sure that all is working well.

Add in a personal thank you and give your prospect your contact information such as e-mail and phone number. It doesn't hurt to keep that information in front of the prospect in case you hit them at the right time and they're ready to respond.

Lead Nurturing Email #3-Email In 24 hours

This is the 3rd e-mail. In this e-mail we just want to remind them about the download or the author. If this is a free consultation, and you haven't talked to them yet, this would be another reminder for them that you would like to connect with them.

If you're offer involved a white paper or a downloadable item that required time to read, then you could simply ask a question, "What did you think of my white paper"? Let them know that you're there to answer any questions they may have.

Don't forget to include your contact information.

Lead Nurturing Email #4-Email In 7 Days

This is the fourth e-mail. The fourth e-mail is one week later. This is a good time to ask them if they liked the information that you provided in the earlier download.

This is your opportunity to take your relationship a step further with the prospect. This could be another downloadable item or some valuable information that moves the prospect to another stage in your sales process.

Always, always Include your contact information.

Lead Nurturing Email #5-In 14 Days

This is the 5th e-mail. Here again you're just looking to remind the prospect that you're there. People are busy these days and have a lot going on around them.

A gentle reminder, a question, a cool article that you have seen, are all ways of writing simple communication with the prospect.

I know I shouldn't say it again, but don't forget the contact information.

Lead Nurturing Email #6-In 30 days

This is the 6th email.  Here you want to remind them that it's been about 30 days since they downloaded your information or white paper.

Here is where you can ask if there's anything you could do for them. You could even suggest a phone call or if it's more a local basis possibly even stopping by or having lunch.

This is the next step in moving the prospect along to conversion.

It Takes 5 to 7 Views to Build Rapport

On average, is estimated that a potential prospect needs to see or have a impression of your business at least 5 to 7 times. In this scenario I listed out above you can see that we have established communication six times with prospect.

If they haven't bought at this point, it is time to move them to a new frequency. You need to decide depending on what makes sense for your industry or service. I would suggest communicating at least one time every 30 days.

If you can get them to get interested in your blog, that is a great way to send them updates every time you write a new blog article.

Key Takeaway: You did all the work to get the lead, now you just need to keep it active.  Make sure you communicate at least 5-7 times in the first 30 days.
