How do you find the right keywords?

An example of long tail keywords
For example, let's say you are a plumber. The choice of that word is very broad. The chances of youranking for that term plumber would be very slim.
The term plumber by itself is a difficult word to rank for. Therefore, you need to think about multiple combinations that describe plumber.
For instance:
[plumber]
Atlanta [plumber]
Atlanta [plumber] residential
Atlanta [plumber] residential Jacuzzi tub
The word plumber is between brackets. This indicates the term plumber as the anchor text.
The three lines after the plane anchor text shows how multiple combinations will help identify your website by relating it to the anchor text plumber.
As the longtail keyword gets longer, your target customer base will be more narrow than if you just use the anchor text term. You initially may think that narrowing your target market would be a bad thing.
Actually it is a good thing. Long-tail keywords allow you to focus on the customer that you want.
Wouldn't you rather spend time with a customer who you already know has an interest in your product or service?
